Goroka Show is a Papua New Guinea nation wide event which is a initially a way of paying tribute to Papua New Guinean's traditional way of living back in our ancestors period.

Especially commemorating the Eastern Highland Province traditional cultures which also includes other Highlands Part of Papua New Guinea.

This event was significantly meant to kept intact the Eastern Highlands traditions way of living before the Western influences ashores.

This occation come to live when Austalian Kiaps groups within all the districts of the Eastern Highlands Province hosted this event back in the early years of 1957 at a avenue today known as the Independence Park just opposite the Goroka Main Market.

Goroka show significantly focuses it's attention to reflect almost twenty nine languages, tribes, clans and it's societies with their unique cultures.

As to date Goroka show is seen as a world wide event which attracted hundreds of tourists from all over the world to see come see the event.

Over the course Goroka show reveals tribes singsing groups, music, dancing, showing-off and extraordinary displays of their tribal rituals.

Goroka Show is usually held on the Independence day of Papua New Guinea from the date of 12th, 13th and 14th September all year around.
